What would a personal website be without a Links page? Here's my personal roundup of the best that the web has to offer.

Time Consumption

Livejournal: Because I can't be assed maintaining a "proper" blog. Find me personally here.
Last.fm/Audioscrobbler: Because sometimes I really am that bored that looking at long lists of music I've listened to seems like fun... Find me personally here.

Webcomics

Scary-Go-Round - Awesome and bonkers. Mostly bonkers. And awesome.
Questionable Content - More indie than j00. Am a bit fed up with how Jeph Jacques art has gone, but as certainly as it's changed in the past, it'll change in the future.
xkcd - a geeky stick-man webcomic, just what everyone needs.
The Order of the Stick - Geeky roleplaying humour!
Darths and Droids - Geeky Star Wars themed roleplaying humour!
Piled Higher and Deeper - a webcomic dedicated to the tribulations of PhD students. Sometimes I think Jorge Cham is stalking me.

Geek

BioGeek:
NCBI Entrez Database - home of the fabled pubmed. The bookshelf has a number of excellent textbooks (including the core text of any and all Life Science degrees, Molecular Biology of the Cell by Alberts et al).
Highwire - access to the pubmed database, with a more usable front-end than the NCBI site (IMHO), and an easy-to-remember url (http://highwire.stanford.edu)

WebGeek:
w3schools - a good reference on the basic web scripting languages, and responsible for teaching me most of the HTML and Javascript I know.

GeekGeek:
Wikipedia - Has recently supplanted the geat Encyclopaedia Galactica as the standard repository of all knowledge; for while it contains much that is apocryphal (or at least, wildly inaccurate) it scores over the older, more pedestrian work in two important respects: First, it's slightly cheaper, and second it has the words DON'T PANIC inscribed in large friendly letters on the cover.
Online Etymology Dictionary - Sating my desire to find out where words come from.
Photonotes.org - A very neat and informative encyclopaedia of photography terms. Excellent for figuring out a camera without the instructions, or for someone just trying to acquire that little bit more geeky knowledge!
